About Evaluations

A psychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of an individual’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. It involves a combination of interviews, standardized tests, and observations to provide a detailed understanding of the person’s mental health and well-being.

The American Psychological Association (APA) has great information about evaluations here, as well as many other resources!

Psychological evaluations are beneficial for individuals of any age who are experiencing academic difficulties, behavioral issues, emotional challenges, or who need clarity on their mental health.

The evaluation process includes an initial consultation to discuss concerns and goals, followed by comprehensive assessments using interviews, standardized tests, and observations. Afterward, we provide a detailed report and feedback session to discuss findings and recommendations.

The length of a psychological evaluation varies depending on the complexity of the case, but it typically takes several hours spread over one or more sessions. The feedback session is scheduled after the assessment is complete.

Yes, all information obtained during a psychological evaluation is confidential and will not be shared without your explicit consent, except in cases where disclosure is required by law.

We adhere to strict confidentiality standards to protect your privacy. Information shared during sessions is kept confidential and will not be disclosed without your consent, except as required by law.

About Fees & Payment

Yes, Endeavor Psychology & Consulting currently accepts United Healthcare Insurance only.

For all other individuals, I provide superbills (detailed receipts) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. I encourage clients to check with their insurance provider to understand their coverage.

Dr. Bacon also believes that finances should not hinder access to needed services. If finances are a significant roadblock to accessing evaluation services, please reach out to discuss options.

A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes the services provided, dates, and billing codes. After paying for your evaluation out of pocket, I provide you with a superbill that you can submit directly to your insurance company. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, they may reimburse you for part of the cost. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, so it’s a good idea to call your insurance provider ahead of time to ask what’s covered.

The cost of an evaluation depends on the type and scope (e.g., clinical evaluation for ADHD, trauma, or learning difficulties vs. a comprehensive evaluation). Fees are always discussed in advance, so you know exactly what to expect before we begin.

I strongly prefer cashiers checks, certified checks, money orders, or other methods of guaranteed funds.

For your convenience, I also accept credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and checks.

Yes, in some cases. I understand that evaluations are a significant investment. I may be able to arrange structured payment schedules (for example, splitting the fee into installments) if discussed ahead of time.

A deposit equal to half of the estimated total cost is typically required at the first appointment, with the balance due at or after the feedback session when results are reviewed. Details are shared during the intake process.
